DRUM LESSONS IN SAN DIMAS

Our drum instructors are kind and friendly, and want to get to know each student and parent on a personal level. By working with our students to build a unique lesson plan centered around their goals and musical tastes, San Dimas Music Academy ensures the best experience for our students. Whether you’re playing in local bands, a five year old taking their first lesson, or returning to the drum set after several decades, our teachers will share their passion for the craft and work with you towards your own musical aspirations. You do not need your own drum set to start lessons with us. Our drum classes meet in soundproof rooms, equipped with a full, professional acoustic drum kit.

BEGINNER DRUMS

Give your kid an outlet for all that energy! Students start their musical journey with us by learning to play the styles they already know and love from the world of jazz, pop, rock, and more. Our instructors strive to make each lesson an encouraging and positive experience. It has always been our philosophy that when learning is fun and engaging, students are more likely to excel and enjoy practicing their instrument. Our students and parents LOVE our Level Up Music Achievement program, which structures the learning process in achievable small steps that can be measured from day one. Our students feel more motivated earning stickers, wristbands and certificates!

You do not need a drum set to join our beginner’s drum classes.

 Verified My daughter has been taking piano lessons in the San Dimas Music Academy for the last 4 years. Unfortunately, she is now moving to the University of Redlands, and she won't be able to attend piano lessons anymore. Isabella is the best piano director my daughter has had. My daughter will definitely miss her as well as the other music instructors she has had throughout these years. Highly recommend San Dimas Music Academy!!

 Verified I want to preface this by saying I always do a lot of research before signing my kids up with any activity. And San Dimas Music Academy is amazing!! My kids have been here for a while now and they all absolutely love their lessons. One child is with Gibb--he is sooo patient, kind, and knowledgeable! My child looks forward to every lesson. Another child is with Moriah and she is also fantastic--she makes every lesson so much fun and my child is so passionate about music now. My last child is with Meghan and has fallen in love with music theory. Big thanks to SDMA and all of their teachers--my kids are thriving and I owe it all to them!

 Verified My son loves coming here for piano. His teacher is amazing and patient. My son started at 7 years old and is now 8. We just experienced the recital and it was the best. The theater was perfect for kids, not too big or small. I recommend San Dimas Music Academy.

From the very beginning, Sayle has demonstrated exceptional dedication, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm for teaching. As an adult learner, I really appreciate his creative approach to instruction. He understands that adults learn differently and tailors each lesson to keep it engaging, encouraging, and challenging at the right pace. He is incredibly responsive, always willing to answer questions, provide helpful feedback, and offer guidance between lessons when needed. If you're considering learning an instrument--whether you're just starting out or returning after many years--I highly recommend the San Dimas Music Academy and Sayle Comito-Garcia.  Verified Teacher Erin is very patient, talented, kind and flexible especially with scheduling. My son has learned a lot and records his piano lessons at home when he plays. The staff are amazing,. They act on your request for make up classes, if needed, or when my son will be away for long absence. This music school is highly recommended - 5 stars!

FREE BAND WORKSHOPS

Throughout the year we offer a free band workshop to all our students called “Tomorrow’s Rockstars”. This unique program aims to give students the experience of playing in a band with their fellow aspiring musicians, a crucial element of their musical education. This workshop has been a complete success with both students and their families. Our students have a blast playing songs they love and building friendships with their bandmates. Most importantly, we see their confidence and motivation grow immensely through this special program. Many of our beginner students participate after only a few months of lessons.

LEVEL UP MUSIC ACHIEVEMENT PROGRAM

At San Dimas Music Academy, we use a system of certificates, wristbands, and stickers to track student growth from level 1 to 10, similar to the belts in a martial arts program. This structured, nationally-recognized approach, is free and optional for all our students. Giving students a fun, tangible way to mark their success does wonders to motivate them to practice their instrument and push their limits.

UNLIMITED MAKE-UP LESSONS

We understand that your family’s schedule can change on a dime. That’s why we offer unlimited make-up lessons. You’ll be able to cancel and reschedule your lessons through our online student portal without even having to contact us. If you prefer, we are happy to reschedule lessons for you as well.

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES

San Dimas Music Academy organizes two recitals each year, usually held at the beautiful Boston Court Pasadena. Recitals act as a goal for students to work towards as well as a place to showcase their talents for friends and family alike.

BEAUTIFUL FACILITY AND PLENTY OF FREE PARKING

Our state of the art facility includes a comfortable parent’s lounge stocked with free amenities, including Wi-Fi, water, coffee, tea, and magazines. We also have a charging station for your devices, a massage pillow, and coloring books for the little ones. There is plenty of free parking available right in front of our school.

Our office staff is available for you seven days a week. We make it a priority to always be there for you, to help in any way we can with exceptional customer service.

THE SAFETY OF OUR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES IS OUR TOP PRIORITY

We take multiple steps to ensure the safety of our students and families. Our entire staff and teaching faculty is background checked. All of our teaching rooms have security cameras and video footage is stored for two months. We also have an open door policy, meaning you’re welcome to join your child’s lesson at any time. And all of our rooms have observation windows (with the exception of our drum rooms, due to sound proofing).

PICTURE DAY

Every year we host a free picture day with a professional photographer. This is a service that parents love. Students can bring their instruments to the photo shoot and wear whatever they like. Our adult students are welcome too!
